Five Quick + Easy Allergy-Free Party Bites: Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegan

8:07 PM

Tomorrow's the... wait, do you care? Or are you just excited about the food? I care a little bit more now that I found these super adorable (and free!) printable BINGO cards from Studio DIY. Guess who will be watching the game for the first time in... well, ever?! But maybe you love football—in which case, good for you. Tanya loves it and all of our friends love it (but no one denies that the yumminess is really the best part).

Are you, like us, looking to pull together some last-minute snacks for your family and friends? We've pulled together some guaranteed crowd-pleasers that are quick, easy and delicious—so delicious that your non-allergy foodies will never know the difference.

1. Zucchini Pizza Bites by Georgia from The Comfort of Cooking (recipe here)

These are an easy, delicious and healthy alternative to traditional pizza bites. They work with both zucchini and yellow squash; just use a dairy-free cheese alternative—we like Go Veggie Dairy Free Mozzarella Shreds because it's yeast-free. Find the recipe here!

2. Totchos Supreme by Rebecca from Foodie With Family (recipe here)

So these are BRILLIANT. So brilliant. Tater tots meet nachos, flavored with pretty much anything (and everything) you want. Make sure you check your tater tots for allergens before you buy them (we go for the 365 brand from Whole Foods). Use a dairy-free cheese alternative like Go Veggie Dairy Free Mozzarella Shreds. Find the recipe here!

3. Spinach Artichoke Dip by Averie on Averie Cooks (recipe here)

While this dip is a classic for all party occasions, it's a nightmare for those of us with dairy allergies. Even looking at it makes me feel a bit ill. Luckily Averie posted this quickie little "15-second special" that includes dairy-free options; just watch your soy content (even if you aren't sensitive to soy, too much of it will sit like a block in your stomach). We suggest using Earth Balance Mindful Mayo (no eggs, dairy or soy), Daiya Plain Cream Cheese Spread (no eggs, dairy or soy), and Go Veggie! Mozzarella Shreds (no eggs, dairy, soy, or yeast). Find the recipe here!

4. Seasoned Roasted Chickpeas (15 flavor options rounded up by The Kitchn, here)

Another great sharing dish, full of flavor but way more healthy than chips, peanuts or other salty snacks. The Kitchn lists 15 really delicious flavor options—we've yet to try some of these, but they all sound absolutely scrumptious. Find them here!

5. Double Chocolate No Bake Cookies by Kelly on The Spunky Coconut (recipe here)

You need something sweet. Of course you need something sweet. Problem is, baked goods generally take a hare longer than these other savory appetizers. Kelly solved this problem, though, with her recipe for paleo, gluten-free and vegan. They're healthy and delicious—what more could you want? Find the recipe here!

Are you making food tomorrow? What's on your must-eat list?

Enjoy the game and stay safe ;)
